Last week we spoke all about the dresses! We kind of wish we had the lovely Californian sun so we could wear said item of clothing on a daily basis.
With that in mind, we have to remember we live in the UK, meaning our wardrobe choices are very weather dependant. More likely than not, that means we have to leave the house with a coat in hand.
It’s fair to say that the puffa and the parker coat have done wonders for us over the winter months but the temperatures picked up (slightly) and the eskimo look doesn’t quite go with a dainty sandal.
The best thing about spring is wearing less of the heavy/chunky knits and wearing more light, playful layers. Last year we saw plenty of duster coats, which we still very much appreciate, but this spring the blazer is back in action.
The blazer has seen many reincarnations over the years, from the striped, preppy look, to the favoured 90’s style. Originally by rock bands and then perfected by Kate Moss: ripped jeans, ‘band tees’, converse and obviously a blazer. We have seen the ‘band tee’ trend aplenty in the past few months
This seasons it’s all about throwing it back to the 80’s. Lets all channel the super-sized shoulder pads and cinched in waists. The traditional ‘all-boys’ blazer can be spun in many ways and luckily there is a shape, colour and style to fit everyone. At last the blazer has been revitalised with a fresh new look.
