Couture week closes with some unforgettable shows and the below pieces did it for us.
FALL 2016 COUTURE – Valentino: The Valentino haute couture Fall 2016 collection was pretty much Shakespeare themed, the runway was full of princesses and priests, with all high white ruffs, doublets, bodices, clerical robes and puffed sleeves. So inspiring right?! See our top 3 favorite looks below!
FALL 2016 COUTURE – Elie Saab: There’s always a first time for everything, in this case, Elie Saab showed a handful of mommy-and-me dresses. Elie Saab displayed an exceptional collection. Inspiration out of this world, from birds flocked on the skirt of a gown with a black velvet bodice to hearts appearing as prints and as crystal embroideries. And there were all manner of flowers and bird designs—in light blue, yellow, and glitter.
FALL 2016 COUTURE – Jean Paul Gaultier: Jean Paul Gaultier took us into the woods with his collection. Showcasing many shades of browns and greens. So much attention to detail displayed in this collection; from furs, to the tailored jackets, leathers and even sequins. Models rocked braids, headdresses and even a giant furry backpack made an appearance on the runway.
FALL 2016 COUTURE – Armani Privé: Even with jackets paired with pants, the collection was so graceful. Chic and soft, suede, silk and fur all made an appearance in the mix of fabrics used in defining this awesome collection. See 3 of our favorite looks below!
FALL 2016 COUTURE – Giambattista Valli: Giambattista Valli displayed a powerful collection. Full of life and colours; with massive pouf sleeves, flower-bud prints and a couple of coloured tutu dresses. Definitely an unforgettable, one to remember collection.
