Lack Of Desire

You could be forgiven for thinking lack of desire affects mature women who are pre-menopausal – however, you’d be wrong. Lack of desire is surprisingly common in younger women, and can happen for a variety of reasons such as after childbirth, depression, tiredness, and being unhappy with their partner. Medical reasons for low libido include low blood pressure, some oral contraceptives, diabetes. Even prescription meds are potential passion killers.

According to several studies, including the 2015 Journal for Medical Sex, as much as 30% of women report pain during sex. There are several possible physical and emotional causes for this. Physically, it can be attributed to conditions such as endometriosis and ovarian cysts.

Another possible reason is vaginismus – whereby the vagina tightens involuntarily. Vaginismus is sometimes thought to occur from emotional stress or anxiety. Don’t let painful sex ruin your life – visit your doctor who will be able to assist you.

No Orgasm = No Interest

It’s quite simple – if having an orgasm is never on the menu, then sexual dysfunction is inevitable. If your partner suffers from premature ejaculation and he isn’t finding the spot with a flashlight and a map, then sexual problems are a given. However, inability to orgasm can also be a sign of an underlying problem like depression or anxiety, or can be a side effect of prescription medication.
