With Christmas just two days away many of us will be spending time with our loved ones during this period. The holidays are a perfect time to watch TV and films after eating a multitude of Turkey and mince pies. Therefore we thought it would be the perfect time to share our favourite festive films with you.
- Home Alone (1990) starring Macaulay Culkin is one of our ultimate favourite Christmas films. The film revolves around 8-year-old Kevin McCallister who is accidently left behind at home by his family who have travelled during the holiday period. He is ecstatic about the idea of having the whole house to himself until he spots to con men attempting to rob his family home.
- This Christmas (2007) starring Chris Brown is a great film that all the family can enjoy. The film is centres around the Whitfield family as they experience a variety of trials and tribulations. Amidst all their drama they still find a way for music, laughter and love.
- Elf (2003) starring Will Ferrell. This is a cheerful and light-hearted festive film that children and adults can both enjoy. Based on the character Buddy who travels to New York in search of his real father. Along the way he unintentionally causes a number of problems for those around him which are rather comical to watch.
If these three films don’t measure up to your idea of a good festive film, here is a list of Festive films you may enjoy Love Actually, Last holiday, The Santa Clause, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Miracle on 34th Street, Scrooge, Four Christmases, Jingle All The Way and The Perfect holiday to name a few of the many festive themed films available.
