The BAFTA Awards held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday night featuring a magnificent display of beautifully elegant gowns and gorgeous suits on the red carpet. Celebrities at the BAFTA’s never fail to deliver on exceptional outfits, and this year was no different. Themed with whites, yellows and an array of sequins, we take a look at some of the Best dressed at the ceremony.
The fairest of them all, former TOWIE star Lucy donned a lilac gown which was adorned in a foiled floral motif resembling a princess.
Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick presented the best drama award, clearly out-shining the nominees with their sparkling attire. Anna Kendrick’s multi-toned spangled gown was simply beautiful, whilst the very handsome Justin donned a navy suit, white suit, and black bow tie, and looked every bit the part (not a Troll part).
Alesha Dixon wowed the audience in her yellow figure-hugging gown. We must say Alesha was one of the best dressed. Additionally, Radio 1 presenter, Fearne Cotton embodied the essence of summer in a gorgeous, full-length bright yellow lace outfit, of which incorporated a sexy yet chic below the bust plunge.
Another theme for the night was white, and Tess Daley who accepted an award for Strictly, looked incredible in a beautiful white gown with side split, and metallic belt that accentuated her curves. Accompanied by Claudia who went for a tuxedo-themed jumpsuit and nude Jimmy Choos.
Caroline Flack was certainly wearing a show-stopping outfit – but perhaps not for the right reason. Wearing a slinky split black jumpsuit, she looked amazing, but poor Caroline ought to have first attempted a practice walk to make sure it worked. The TV presenter had a bit of trouble walking down the red carpet, but she did look stunning.
Hosting the awards was Graham Norton, who never fails to impress both comedically and style-wise. He was wearing a fabulous charcoal suit with black sequin lapels – and although he lost an award to Leigh Francis (presenter of Juice) we believe he would have won in a suit-off.
Tom Hiddleston from the night manager presented the award for Leading Actress. As he approached the mic looking jaw-droopingly hot in a suit that he had hired, he stated that Graham had won an award in his heart.Tom, we do wonder if the awards might be fixed, as you ought to have won at least three! We couldn’t discuss The British Academy Television Awards without mentioning the lovely Lenny Henry, who was given the prestigious Special Award. Lenny looked outstanding in his navy suit, with black lapels, crisp white shirt, and black bow tie. In true gentleman style, he first gave special thanks to his mum, before going on to thank a long list of some of the people he respects.
Rochelle Humes shows off her sexy thighs in a high split white number paired with choker necklace
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden also made a glamorous appearance on the red carpet in a shimmery silver gown.
