The Met Gala’s red carpet continues to showcase unforgettable moments and this year was no different. The spectacular themed event took place in New York City – “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”. Our favourite A-listers hit the red carpet in their best custom pieces paying homage to this year’s theme “the garden of time”. From Nicki Minaj wearing a Marni dress covered in hand-painted metal flowers, Gigi Hadid in a Thom Browne three-dimensional floral ballgown; to Zendaya wearing two spectacular looks—including her custom Margiela look, and a vintage Givenchy dress from the house’s spring 1996 collection.
Jennifer Lopez on the other hand opted for a sparkling Schiaparelli number; while Lana Del Rey, donned the red carpet in a veiled Alexander McQueen look with an antlered headpiece; a brilliant homage to the late designer’s iconic fall 2006 collection.
