Femininity, class, elegance and grandeur are all words that perfectly describe Barrus‘ Spring/Summer 17 collection. From the slimline silks to french laces, delicate chiffons to volumous pleated ruffles, Barrus gave distinctive elegant silhouettes and beautiful flowy dresses perfect for SS17.
The inspiration for the collection is clear and undeniable; inspired by the renowned works of artist Gustav Klimt, particularly the artists eye for distinctive lines with voluminous draping and his rich textures brought to life by in jewel tones of bronze and rose gold.
Barrus’ show was a fusion of ancient and new, taking the subtleties of modesty and the self confident, modern, sexy woman of today, bringing together both identities to create one comprehensive style. The collection embraces femininity with an innovative take on east meets west.Opened by international model Tulin Sahin, crowned by Allure as one of the top 50 models in the world, the brand remained true to its origins this season, continuing it’s study into the old Turkish art of marbling. The handicraft is delicately fashioned on fine silks in an array of colours mirroring the signature palette that Klimt is best known for. The beautiful colourful patterns are unique and comparable only with fingerprints – taking having that one of a kind piece to new levels.
