The Golden Globes is usually the first significant award ceremony of the year; but the coronavirus lockdown definitely altered this year’s award celebration. We are used to seeing our favourite stars pose for an army of paps on the red carpet; whilst deliberating the best and worst dressed. Above all, we’ve learned to live and adjust to the new normal. In fact, stars took to social media creating outstanding virtual fashion moments to celebrate the 78th Golden Globes 2021 award ceremony.
Angela Bassett in Dolce & Gabbana
62 never looked so good – Angela Bassett was one of the presenters for the night. The queen wore a custom-made one-shoulder gown by Dolce & Gabbana. Featuring feather detailing and a thigh-high split. Perfectly paired with purple satin sandals.
Amanda Seyfried in Oscar de la Renta
Definitely one of our favourite gowns from Golden Globes 2021. Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim at Oscar de la Renta created a custom gown specially for the star. Beautifully decorated from shoulder to shoulder with hand-crafted flowers and petals.
Nicole Kidman in Louis Vuitton
Nicole Kidman wore a custom Nicolas Ghesquière x Louis Vuitton black gown with symmetric gold braids.The nominee posted on Instagram that the gown brought her “a little glamour back” Haven’t done this in a long time.
Anya Taylor-Joy in Dior
The double nominee looked ever so beautiful in all green number by Dior paired with Tiffany & Co jewellery.
Regina King in Louis Vuitton
Goddess Regina King, who was nominated in the Best Director category, wore a Louis Vuitton gown paired with Forevermark jewellery.
Maria Bakalova in Armani Privé
Breakthrough star of Borat Subsequent Movie Film, Maria Bakalova wore a glamorous red gown from the Armani Privé SS/2021 collection. Only if there was a red carpet to showcase this beauty.
Elle Fanning in Gucci
Nominee Elle Fanning donned a slinky Gucci dress with a cape and train. The actor enlisted photographer Gareth Gatrell from the set of her show The Great to capture her beautiful ensemble.

Viola Davis served us a glamorous African print fishtail gown. The Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom star posted this full outfit on Instagram giving credit to the full glam squad including Cameroon-born, LA-based designer Claude Kameni who made the fabulous gown.
