Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, Sandra bland and Philando Castile are just six names of the many black lives stolen from us. Seven months into the current year 2016 and it appears stealing a black persons life is a procedure deemed very necessary by the police. The same police who are put in place to protect us. So why are they killing us?

Alton Sterling is the name of one of the most recent lives lost as a result of the inhumane treatment of the American police force. The painful fact is that this is slowly becoming the new normal for the police to hide behind their badge to get away with murder and nothing is being done. The #BlackLivesMatter Movement campaigns against the unjust behavior towards black people doesnt change anything, Sadly there are some people who don’t understand why this is very necessary and may argue that all Lives matter. Agreeably yes they do, though the issue at hand is that black people are not given a fair chance in any given situation involving law. As a result innocent black people; the brothers,sisters, sons, fathers, mothers and cousins to many are being killed.

The issue at hand is that many black lives are being stolen. There is no overnight solutions although the US should consider looking into and making changes regarding their laws for the use of fire arms.
