Wendy Rowe is the go-to makeup artist for A-listers such as Cara Delevingne, Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham. During today’s ‘This Morning’ show, Wendy explains how a healthy diet and good skincare are fundamental to flawless looking skin.
The world-renowned makeup artist shares some exciting beauty secrets to help us achieve the much sought-after SS17 flawless yet minimal makeup look. Read on to discover Wendy’s invaluable tips on creating flawless and glowing skin.
1.Cleanse, Tone And Moisturise
Should you have problematic dry skin, Wendy suggests using a cream cleanser, then removing the cleanser with cotton pads that have been soaked in warm water. Fruk loves Caudalie’s Instant Foaming Cleanser.
Follow by applying a moisturiser and eye cream to create that all-important base and reduce the appearance of lines.
2.Illuminating Primer And Contour
Next, apply an illuminating primer. Once this has soaked into the skin, you can add contour. Although it may seem confusing to apply contour at this stage, by doing so you will achieve a ‘softer and subtle sculpted effect’.
Wendy then suggests adding definition by applying the contour just under the cheek bones, and blending in. Repeat this step on the nose and under the jawline.
3.Light Concealer
Following this, the advice is to add a cream light concealer, this time on the upper part of your cheek bones to enhance, giving them beautiful luminosity. The cream concealer can also be applied to the cupids bow, nose and chin. Fruk loves Liz Earle’s Light Reflecting Concealer.
A further tip is to add a little concealer with a slightly orange tint to combat any blue under and in the outer corner of each eye.
4.Foundation, Powder and Blush
The final stage is the application of your foundation – and as always, we cannot remind you enough how crucial it is to get the right shade for your skin tone. Blend in lightly, then add your powder and blush – and voila; a flawless and minimal makeup look you will adore. Let’s face it – if its good enough for Mrs Beckham, it’s fine by us!
