Former Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge, Cheryl Cole yesterday announced the birth of her son with One Direction band member, Liam Payne.
Cheryl who is 33 years-old, stated that the baby was born on Wednesday and weighed 7lb. 9. The pop star said she had not named him yet.
Cheryl took to Instagram saying:
“On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.”
Furthermore, she wished all mums around the world a happy Mother’s Day, stating that the day would now have “a different meaning forever”.
Liam, who is 23 years-old, also shared a message on Instagram, saying he is, “incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world”. He added, “It’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.”
The baby news has brought together the Girls Aloud band members (despite previous problems with their friendship) as they all announced messages of love and support.
There are also rumours of Cheryl’s mum, Joan Callaghan, moving in with Cheryl and Liam to help over the coming weeks.
