The Best Eye Shadow To Suit Your Eye Colour

Eye shadows are more than sassy colours for our lids; they can make or break your appearance. Choose the right eye shadow for your eye colour and you will stand out like a true princess. Choose the wrong shade, and your whole look can suffer drastically, (everyone will remember an old school teacher with thick teal plastered to her entire lids).

As we age, one feature remains the same, – the eyes.  They quite literally are, the window to the soul. We therefore, owe it to ourselves to envelope them in the best eye shadow for our colour, and enhance their beauty for the world to see.

Enhance blue eyes with either misty blues, or neutral tones such as champagne, coral, and pale pinks. Darker or harsher shades distract from the iris, whilst softer shades really draw out those baby blues. Try Charlotte Tilbury’s Eyes To Mesmerize, in Mary Antoinette. £22.

2.Brown Eyes

Should you be lucky enough to have brown eyes, you will notice that almost all shades suit this colour. For maximum effect, a bronze, or bronze-gold shade will bring out your brown-eyed beauty. Try Mac Mineralize Eye shadow Quad Bronze Assets, £18.

Grey eyes suit smoky tones in similar shades to your eyes, that will emphasize the prettiness of this colour. such as a fairy/hazy grey or a pale/soft blue. Try Dior’s Fairy Grey, £23.

4.Green Eyes

Eye shadows that suit green tend to be brown shades from beiges to chestnut colours. Green eyes are generally brighter, and therefore should not be surrounded by a lid that is too bright. Steer away from luminous hues, and you will create a more dramatic look. Opt for Sephora’s Colourful Duo Hot Brown Eye shadow, £14

5.Hazel Eyes

Hazel eyes are extremely beautiful, and encompass within them several tones such as gold and green. To capture the beauty of these colours and let them glisten, you should lean towards soft bronzes, metallic shades, or pastel tones. Heavier shades will do the opposite, dulling down the multi-tonal colours. That said, if you like brown hues, a bronze-brown shade will work. Check out Bobbi Brown’s Galaxy. £19.
