The festive season has a habit of bankrupting us. It’s the one occasion when you wish you had less friends so you wouldn’t have to spend so much money buying presents.
And coming from a big family can be a real pain, especially when they all live so far away. You not only have to buy them presents, but you have to spend money on petrol or train fare to physically go and see them and wish them well.
Furthermore, there’s the costly food and alcohol. The champagne and the vol-a-vents, which of course can be a great comfort when you’re stuck inside because you couldn’t afford one of those glamorous party dresses.
Despite the abundance of Christmas expenses, you needn’t fret about what to wear to the seasonal parties. It’s not like it’s the Oscars. You can still shine bright like a Christmas tree without spending an arm and a turkey leg.
The whole point of Christmas parties is to get blind drunk and do things that you’re going to regret in the morning. So really, it’d be a waste looking at party dresses more than £30 when it’s going to be a blur to everyone else anyway. Of course that’s not to say you can’t look amazing for less than £30.
Whilst it would be undoubtedly expensive to cover yourself in Swarovski crystals. You can still sparkle with metallics, glitter, and sequins. In true honour of the most sparkly time of the year, feel like a Christmas fairy, or Ice Queen if you’d rather.
