All Eyez on me is the title of the highly anticipated and long overdue biopic about rapper Tupac Shakur. The music legend Tupac Shakur was murdered at the age of 25 in 1996, Born Lesane Parish Crooks in New York City, USA, Tupac was a man of many talents. Not only a rapper but also a poet, activist, actor and record producer. He was one of the artists of the 80s that made a great difference rap and Hip Hop.
Actress Kat Graham famously known for starring in US series The Vampire Diaries as Bonnie Bennett is set to star as Jada Pinket Smith. Jada played a major pat in this film as her and the rapper attended the same school Baltimore School for the Arts and had a very strong friendship.
Back in January Kat spoke her upcoming role in the movie and similarities between her and Jada stating ‘I heard that we’re really similar,’ the Star F***er singer told TheWrap in January. ‘[We’re both] musicians and producers and actresses and tiny and sassy, so it works. I think it’s going to work. It’s going to be good.’I think that a lot of people have been waiting a long time for this story. I’ve been a huge fan of his and a huge fan of Jada’s for a long time, so I just want to do it justice.’ Reports dailymail.co.uk.
Prior to this role the 26 year old actress also starred movies such as in Honey 2 and 17 Again with former Disney star Zac Efron. In addition to multiple appearances in a variety of music videos as a backup dance. The movie is currently being filmed Atlanta, USA and is believed to be released sometime at the end of this year. In case you haven’t guessed at this point the title of the film is named after his fourth album “All Eyez on me”.
The film has great producers and talented actors involved and is certainly set to be a hit. Ew.com reports Graham joins newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., who joined the cast last month as Tupac, Jamal Woolard, who will play Biggie Smalls, and Walking Dead star Danai Gurira, who recently signed on to play Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur. Music video director Benny Boom recently stepped in as director, replacing Carl Franklin and John Singleton. Back in 2009, Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, filed a lawsuit against the production, but the suit has since been resolved and she is now involved with the film as an executive producer.
