We have just been reminded of another reason River Island is so great – they have just announced that they are about to launch a new plus clothing line, called the ‘RI Plus’ collection. This new clothing line has not been primed by celebrity endorsements – it is purely and simply an addition to their present range. From March 9th, River Island will (for the first time) sell beautiful pieces from their main fashion lines in sizes 18-24, to be available both online and in store.
Primarily, the collection will contain 75 pieces, of which include a variety of looks for every occasion. These will include party dresses, jeans and work attire, as well as many other exceptionally sassy and stylish outfits. ‘Plus’ sized model, Candice Huffine, who will be modelling the new line stated that the lace-up body suits and wide-leg trousers are two of her favourite pieces.
You may consider this to be nothing out of the ordinary, given that many other brands have already debuted and are now selling a ‘plus’ size clothing range. However, it seems that River Island is the exception to the rule, due to the fact that they have purposefully steered away from the staple diet of black clothing. Instead River has opted for colourful, yet exquisite style, thus embracing the beauty and freedom every woman has the right to express.
Candice is a big fan of River Island, announcing how thrilled she is to be representing the collection. The beautiful model stated: “It’s clear form the designs that they have been made to suit a curvy woman’s body.” Candice added that she hopes her fashion career will ‘encourage women to love and be themselves.’
