With one of Jude Law’s children marking his territory on the modelling world, it was only a matter of time before another one followed suit. Iris Law, 15, has recently made her modelling debut, following in the footsteps of her 19 year old brother Rafferty. Whilst Rafferty walked in 2014’s DKNY show having been signed to Select Model Management, it seemed all people could talk about was his striking resemblance to his Hollywood father. Iris, however, is carving out a completely unique image for herself. But with Jude Law and Sadie Frost as parents, and Kate Moss as godmother, how could we expect anything less from Iris?
Iris is behind the new collaborative campaign for London-based brand Illustrated People and stylist Violetta Thalia Kassapim, otherwise known as Violetta Fancies You. And although she shares her father’s bright blue eyes, she channelled some serious edgy 90’s style with dark cherry lipstick, bold brows, and triple twisted knots.
In the collaboration, Iris models one of three PJ sets that were designed exclusively for the brand. Evangeline Ling models beside her, with Violetta as stylist and Luke Freeman as photographer. The setting for the shoot was just as edgy as Iris, as the models posed in a decadent hotel room, and the premise of luxury nightwear meets edgy daywear made Iris the perfect choice for the shoot.
The budding model has rarely been photographed out and about, managing to remain under the radar despite her superstar parents. However, this campaign isn’t the first time she’s shown interest in modelling. As an avid Instagram user, Iris posts regular modelling shots, selfies, and photos of her friends on the social media site. She also showed an early interest in fashion, sitting front row at Vivienne Westwood’s London 2012 show, at just aged 12. And with Kate Moss as godmother, Iris has revealed she often practices modelling with Kate’s daughter Lila, hinting that the two both have high hopes of becoming supermodels one day.
In 2014, Iris told Amuse magazine: “My god-sister, Lila, and I have got into the habit of creating little photo shoots every time we see each other. I enjoy this, because it’s everything I love in one go: it’s creative, it makes you think… it’s fashion”.
Only time will tell if this superstar beauty will break into the modelling industry, but from the looks of it, she undoubtedly has what it takes.
